Description

Sidemount leaves you short of places to clip things. Both hips carry cylinders, both shoulder D-rings hold the cylinder necks, and the front of the rig is spoken for. So when a fourth item appears there is nowhere sensible left for it. That comes up on a cave dive with a stage bottle, behind a scooter where the tow has to come from somewhere solid, and on any dive where a spare reel has to travel without swinging into your legs. The tail is the answer, because anything clipped there trails behind you, clear of your fins and clear of the cylinder valves you may need to reach. This set turns the butt plate rail into that point, mounting to the rail already fitted so nothing is unthreaded. It suits a Stealth 2.0 diver carrying more than two cylinders. A butt plate has to be fitted for it to attach to.
