XDEEP's sidemount system, and the rig a good number of cave and wreck divers settle on. Sold complete with harness, wing, butt plate and integral weight pocket.

Three wings to choose between. Classic is the original cut and the most widely dived. Rec is shaped for recreational sidemount on a single cylinder or two aluminium tanks. Tec carries the lift for steel doubles and stages.

The redundant bladder versions carry a second, fully independent bladder inside the same shell, each with its own inflator and dump. If one fails you still have buoyancy from the other. That is the reason to buy one: overhead and decompression diving where a wing failure leaves you no clean way to the surface. It adds bulk and a second inflator to manage, so take it because your diving calls for it rather than as a default.

Weight pocket sizes S, M, D and W are integral to the harness rather than bolted on afterwards, so the choice is fixed at purchase. D is the deep pocket for divers carrying substantial ballast. W spreads the same lead over a longer run, which trims better for most people.

Sidemount rewards a proper setup and punishes guesswork. If you're new to it, get the rig fitted rather than ordering blind.
