Weight Pockets

Description

Loading a weight pocket in 5 mm gloves, on a boat, with the mouth of the pocket collapsing every time a hand comes near it, wastes more time than it should. A rigid front strap holds this one open so the lead goes in first time. Getting it back out is the other half of the job: the pockets are ditchable, on ITW Nexus polyacetal buckles that click audibly when seated, so there is a positive confirmation before the dive rather than a hopeful tug on the surface. They screw down to the backplate as well as threading the 50 mm waist webbing, which stops them wandering along the belt over a season. Capacities are 2, 3 or 6 kg a side, and each comes with an inner holder carrying its own lifting handle. They suit a diver moving ditchable lead off a weight belt and onto the rig.
