Description

Choosing dive kit on environmental grounds usually means accepting something that performs worse, and the Ocea exists to remove that trade. It is the XL4+ underneath, which is the lightest regulator Apeks build, with an environmentally sealed and over balanced first stage. What changed is the materials: lead free brass, trivalent chrome plating that takes less energy to apply, second stage polymers from bio based and post consumer recycled sources, and a solar powered factory. On a warm water reef dive the low weight reduces jaw fatigue across a long dive. On a cold water dive the sealed first stage performs like the platform it comes from. On a shore entry the venturi lever stops it running away at the surface. This is the Mint colourway. It suits a diver who wants Apeks performance without the usual material cost, and the Grey is the same regulator in a darker finish.
