Description

Hand signals stop working when nobody can see the hand, and dark gloves in low visibility are worse at it than bare skin. The Admiral answers that directly with a poly-suede palm in white, so a signal reads against dark water and a light-coloured palm is easier for a buddy to pick up at distance. The poly-suede is there for durability as much as visibility: it takes the abrasion of handling a cylinder valve, a shot line and a boat ladder without wearing through the way plain neoprene does. Two millimetres is a warm-water thickness, enough to stop grazes and take the sting out of a cool morning without costing dexterity. High-stretch elastic finger gussets let the hand close properly, and a hook-and-loop wrist closure adjusts over a suit cuff. It suits a diver in warm water who signals often, and an instructor whose hands are being watched.
