Description
A flat D-ring lies against the harness, which makes clipping and unclipping with thick gloves fiddly, and the Aropec bent D-ring has a curve that angles it away from the webbing. It is made from #304 stainless steel with a 160 degree curve bend, and comes in 5 mm by 50 mm and 6 mm by 50 mm. On a cold-water dive in thick gloves, the angle makes it easier to find and clip a pressure gauge or a stage cylinder. For a diver setting up a backplate harness, it adds a clip point on the shoulder straps or waist belt. For an instructor maintaining older equipment, it replaces damaged rings. Both sizes are 50 mm long. It suits a diver who wants attachment points that are easy to use with gloves.
