Divesoft Primary Reel

Description

Laying primary line into a cave or wreck asks a lot of a reel, and the Divesoft Primary Reel was shaped by feedback from cave divers. It is machined from Delrin, handle included, and loaded with 150 m or 200 m of firm 1.6 mm PES line. The spool width sets to three positions for line lengths from 100 to 250 m. On a long survey the handle shape spares the hand during continuous winding. In black water, shallow grooves on the handle side of the spool let a thumb feel how fast line is paying out and slow it down. The spiral brake with a rubber tip slows the spool or locks it completely while tying in. The Delrin handle has a deep recess with distinct edges, so it stays put in a bare hand or a thick glove, and a stainless 100 mm double ender comes in the box. It suits cave and wreck divers who need a primary reel for penetration dives.
