Description

Rubber that resists compression keeps its rating deeper, because a suit flattened at 25 metres is a thinner suit by the time the wreck comes up. That is the argument for Yulex Dive, a plant-based foam made from FSC-certified natural rubber, which makes this a Class A suit containing no neoprene at all rather than a label attached to one. Certification runs 7 to 12 degrees Celsius, at 7.5 millimetres through the torso and 5.0 on the arms and legs. The Pure Design Concept uses fewer panels and seams than a conventional cut, leaving fewer paths for water to track, and that shows on the second dive of a Cape morning. A Blue Diamond Span inner fleece warms and drains behind a black recycled polyester lining that eases donning. Outer seams are double blind-stitched, inner seams single. Entry is a vertical rear YKK zip on a brass slider with a long webbing puller. Ten cuts are stocked. It suits a cold-water diver who wants no petrochemical foam.
