Big Blue Extended GoPro Camera Tray

Description

Width is what an extended tray buys. A standard tray puts the light mounts close to the camera, and lights close to the lens throw their beams straight through the particles in the water directly ahead of the port, which comes back as the white specks that ruin otherwise good footage. Moving the mounts outboard lets the beams cross in front of the camera instead, lighting the subject without lighting the water column between. This tray does that for a GoPro or a similarly sized housing, with mounting points at each end for arms and a fitting underneath for a handle or a tripod plate. The standard and single-arm trays cover rigs where compactness matters more than reach. That answers murky water, wide shots and a rig that keeps producing backscatter. It suits a videographer who needs the lights further out.
