Aqualung Fusion Zippered Hood

Description

A thick hood keeps the head warm and, worn for an hour, leaves the jaw aching from holding a regulator against the neoprene. The Aqua Lung Fusion Zippered Hood is built in three thicknesses to deal with that: 7 mm side panels for warmth, 5 mm across the forehead and 3 mm at the chin, so the jaw works freely around the mouthpiece. A zip makes it far easier to get on and off than a pull over hood, and a sealing gusset with a hook and loop tab at the base of the zip keeps water from running in. On a cold water drysuit dive it gives full head cover without jaw fatigue on a long decompression stop. On a winter shore dive in a wetsuit it is quick to remove between dives. For a diver with long hair or glasses on the boat, the zip saves a wrestle. This listing is size XL only. It suits a cold water diver who wants warmth without a sore jaw.
