Description

Cold water and mineral scale are what stiffen an inflator over time, and the Hydpro Power Q01 Stout tackles both with buttons and internal parts made from high-performance polymer. That technopolymer core responds better at low temperatures than metal and resists scale and encrustation, which helps on a long series of cold quarry or lake dives. A normal press on the 25 mm button gives four progressive inflation levels from 65 L/min for fine trim. Pushing past a firmer, spring-loaded threshold opens the Q-Boost HI-FLOW stage at up to 350 L/min for fast lift at depth, and the extra resistance stops it opening by accident. The Driven Seal exhaust vents in four steps up to 350 L/min, and the Edge Lock inlet keeps servicing simple. The Stout body is a broad, squared monobloc with closed geometry, easy to locate by feel with thick gloves. At 103 g it is lighter than the metal version. It suits a technical diver who dives cold water often.
