Description

A hand pump keeps working when the battery is flat, which is why many skippers keep one aboard as a back-up for the electric bilge pump. The Amazon Universal is a manual pump with connections for 38 mm bore hose and an output of up to 100 litres per minute. It is self-priming up to 4 m, and the flow direction is reversed simply by exchanging the inlet and outlet ports. A quick-release clamp ring allows rapid disassembly for cleaning, while a stainless steel handle with bulkhead clips keeps the handle stowed when it is not in use. Push-fit inlet and outlet elbows increase flexibility of installation, and an optional through-deck kit, sold separately, lets the pump be worked from inside or outside the cabin.
