Description

Feet get cut on the walk between the bakkie and the water, not on the dive, and this is cover for that part of the day in a shoe that lives in the boat bag. It is a low-cut water shoe built from soft neoprene and mesh, so it drains rather than carrying water in the sole, and the mesh panels breathe and let water out on the step. The sole is a lightweight pliable anti-slip rubber, thin enough to feel the deck through and grippy enough for wet gelcoat or a rock shelf. An adjustable bungee cord runs to an ankle lock, cinching the shoe down so surf or soft sand cannot pull it off the heel. Seventeen continental sizes are stocked, 30 through 46, starting at a child's size. This is a water shoe, not a dive boot: no fin strap keeper, no ankle height and no thermal protection. It suits a diver walking a beach or working a boat deck.
