Kinzi Eye Bolt with Double Washer and Nut

Description

An eye bolt gives a secure, through-fixed attachment point for a line, lanyard or rigging wire, and fitting it with a washer on each side spreads the load across the surface it is bolted to. This Kinzi eye bolt has a forged shank in AISI304 (DIN 1.4301) or AISI316 (DIN 1.4401) stainless steel and a welded ring, and it is supplied with a double washer and nut, electro polished for a smooth, bright, corrosion-resistant finish. It is sold in 6, 8 and 10 mm sizes. The maker notes that the breaking load is the point where the weld fails, and that the load at which the ring starts to deform is lower, generally about one fifth of the breaking load. It suits boat owners and riggers who want a corrosion-resistant fixing point. The maker's data gives no working load figures, so the rating for the chosen size should be confirmed before it is used for lifting or load-bearing.
