It complies with the amended SOLAS chapter II-2 and IMO MSC/Circ.849, and Lalizas lists it as SOLAS and MED-MER approved. It is activated with a single move, and the universal-size full-face hood with a soft neoprene neck seal fits every face shape. The materials are flame resistant, and the silver finish reflects heat and stands out in smoke. A pressure gauge shows the cylinder state at a glance, and the cylinder refills through a standard G 5/8 valve with no adaptor. Liveaboards, commercial dive vessels and charter boats carry it in crew cabins and machinery spaces. It is an escape set for smoke-filled spaces, not a diving or firefighting apparatus.
