Mares Classic NG 5mm Boots

Description

An open heel fin is only as secure as the boot inside it, and the Classic NG has a shaped heel so the fin strap sits in place instead of riding up mid-kick. The boot is 5mm neoprene, warm enough for temperate water, on a hardwearing rubber sole that protects the feet over rocks and barnacles on a shore entry. A side zip opens the boot wide, which makes it easy to get on with cold hands on a winter morning and easy to rinse and dry afterwards. The sole is sturdy enough for a longer walk to a dive site along a rocky coastline, and the neoprene keeps the feet warm through a long boat dive. Sizes follow the Mares chart from US4 to US13 with EU equivalents shown. It suits a diver using open heel fins in temperate water.
