Mares SXS 62X + Magellan HD Set

Description

A compact regulator and a back-inflation BCD make a natural pair for a diver who cares about trim and packs for flights. This set puts the Mares SXS 62X on the Magellan HD. The 62X first stage is, by Mares' account, the smallest in diving at 63 mm and 464 g in DIN, and Auto Sealing Technology keeps its internals dry between dives. The SXS second stage is the most compact Mares produces, with a curved bypass and a hose that can come from the right or left. The Magellan HD keeps its 180 N of lift behind the diver, splits lead between removable weight and trim pockets, and comes in black or blue. No octopus is included, so the rig needs an alternate air source added before diving. That covers a photographer who wants a flat, stable platform, a diver keeping a favourite octopus, and a traveller packing for reef trips. It suits a diver who wants back-inflation trim with a compact regulator.
