Carbon HD HP Hose

Description

Gauge hoses on a rental rack are dragged over boat benches, stood on in crates and coiled by a different diver every day, and a rubber hose shows that wear first at its fittings. Miflex built the Carbon HD for that workload: a high pressure hose stiffer and tougher than its lighter Xtreme range, yet more flexible than rubber. The hose is under 8 mm across, with a braided nylon outer layer and a strain relief at each fitting. Working pressure is 300 bar, and Miflex quote a burst pressure above 2,000 bar against the 1,250 bar that EN 250 asks for. At a dive centre, the heavier build suits hoses fitted and packed by many hands. On a wreck or cave expedition, it is meant for dives with more contact with steel and rock. On a stage cylinder, the 0.15 m length keeps a small gauge close to the first stage. It suits a dive centre or expedition diver renewing gauge hoses, with fitting left to a technician at no more than 8 Nm.
