XT-Tech LP Regulator Hose

Description

A long hose that lifts off the neck and a braided weave that rubs at the collar are small irritations that build up over a long decompression stop. Miflex designed the XT-Tech for technical divers who want a lighter hose with the smooth skin and settled feel of rubber. A polyether-based polyurethane liner sits under a polyester braid reinforced with Kevlar, finished with a smooth thermoplastic outer layer, and the hose is not positively buoyant. As a 2.10 m primary routed behind the neck, it stays in place rather than floating up into a loop. In a drysuit at a cold inland quarry, the smooth surface is gentler on the neck seal than an open braid. On stage and decompression regulators, the shorter lengths give the whole rig the same firmer handling. Each hose is leak-tested and meets EN 250, for air and nitrox up to 40% oxygen. Swapping hoses is a job for a qualified technician, at no more than 5 Nm. It suits a technical or cave diver setting up a long-hose configuration.
