Eleven cuts exist for a reason: a semi-dry seals only if it fits, and a torso two centimetres too long lets water track straight down the spine. Get the fit right and the small volume that does enter warms once and stays put rather than being pumped out at every kick, which is what carries the suit into a second and third dive where a wetsuit gives up. This is a semi-dry rather than a thick wetsuit, its seals cutting the flush instead of relying on foam alone. CE Class A covers 7 to 12 degrees Celsius, at 7.6 millimetres through the torso and 6.5 on the arms and legs. Seams are blind-stitched, the main zip a waterproof YKK Aquaseal Vislon running rear shoulder to shoulder on a heavy-duty plastic slider. Wrists and ankles take double zippered seals on KA brass sliders and the neck a fold-under seal. A right thigh 3D pocket carries spare kit. It suits a man diving cold water through a full day.
