Pelagic 6.5mm Dive Boot

Description

What lifts this above a soft bootie is the removable footbed. That insole gives the foot a stable chassis for finning and for climbing a boat ladder, which a plain neoprene sock has no way of doing, and it means a long finning swim does not leave the arches aching. It comes out to dry properly or to be swapped for an orthotic. The neoprene is 6.5mm and the outsole is moulded for grip while keeping weight down, which is the trade against the heavier Amphibian and what makes this the travel boot in the range. Entry is by a side zip protected by a Velcro pull tab. It handles occasional shore diving and everyday boat work without eating a baggage allowance. Ten UK sizes run 4 to 13, black throughout, suiting open-heel fins with a spring or rubber strap including the Tech Fin and Rec Fin. Fourth Element publish no weight. It suits a travelling diver working mostly off boats.
