Description

Rated by Fourth Element for prolonged dives from 19 degrees Celsius upward, this is the Proteus thickness most Cape divers settle on. The reason it holds warmth across a two-dive day rather than one descent is the hexagonal thermal lining over the chest and back, which pins a layer of warm water against the core instead of letting it wash through. Stretch neoprene makes up the rest of the suit. Wrists and ankles close on smoothskin seals, so the flush of a shore entry does not strip that layer out on the swim, and the back zip sits behind a lined flap. Textured shoulder and forearm panels shed water on the surface, with red seam accents over the shoulders. The cut was redrawn from the original Proteus for easier donning, which shows on a rocking boat. Sizing spans X Small through 3X Large with Short lengths, black throughout. A Thermocline vest and shorts underneath push it into cooler water. It suits a diver working temperate water.
