Description

The bib is the part that does the work: it tucks inside the wetsuit and seals the neck, so water cannot flush down the back of the suit. That flush on rolling in is the moment that ends a good many first dives. Heat also leaves a small body faster than an adult one, and the head and neck are where most of it goes, so a hood keeps a child in the water longer. This one is 5 mm super-stretch neoprene, cut to cover head and neck as one piece, with multiple Velcro closing points that let the fit be set rather than pulled on and hoped for, and the same points let a child get the hood off without help. Two junior sizes are stocked, S/M and L/XL, sold singly. At 5 mm this suits Cape and temperate water rather than tropical. The bib is worn under the wetsuit collar, not over it, so the suit has to be donned second. It suits a junior diver in cold or temperate water.
