Description

A boot that has to be forced onto a wet foot is a boot that gets left behind, which is the argument for a zip that runs the full height rather than a pull-on design. The Reeftech opens from the sole to the ankle and closes over a thin flap seal beneath the zip, which keeps water seepage through the zip to a minimum, so it is both quick to put on and genuinely warm. The back of the sole is shaped to fit open-heel scuba fins, and toe and heel are reinforced with long-lasting rubber against the wear that finishes most boots. A strong non-slip moulding covers the entire sole, which matters more on a wet slipway than underwater. It is soft double-lined neoprene at 5 mm, in six sizes from XS (EU 36/37) to 2XL (EU 46/47), in black. That answers a shore entry over rock, a cold-water dive and a boat deck. It suits a diver who wants a warm boot that goes on quickly.
