What You Can Do With This Certification

As a certified Rescue Diver, you’ll be recognised for your ability to handle challenging situations, support fellow divers and prevent accidents before they happen. Prerequisites

• Certified Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent) Current
• EFR (Emergency First Response) or First Aid certification within the last 24 months.
• Minimum age: 12 years Physically fit and in good health to dive
• If you do not have a valid EFR or First Aid certification, we can include the Emergency First Response Course as an optional add-on.

What It Entails

You’ll begin your course through PADI eLearning, where you’ll learn how to identify, assess and respond to potential diving emergencies.

The eLearning component allows you to study at your own pace, from anywhere, before moving on to your practical rescue scenarios.

Practical sessions take place in a controlled environment such as Bass Lake Adventures or Miracle Waters, where you’ll apply your new knowledge under expert guidance.

Here, you’ll practice:

• Self-rescue and diver stress management
• Assisting panicked divers
• Surfacing an unresponsive diver
• Emergency exits and equipment management
• Search patterns and in-water rescue breathing

This is an exciting, hands-on course that will challenge you physically and mentally, but by the end, you’ll emerge a stronger, safer and more capable diver.
