PADI Rescue Diver

If your journey beneath the surface has already opened your eyes to the beauty and calm of the underwater world, the next call is one of purpose. The PADI Rescue Diver Course is where you transform from simply enjoying the dive to truly understanding what it means to care for others in it.

It’s often described as the most rewarding course in diving, not because of the skills you learn, but because of the confidence it builds. You’ll discover how to stay calm when challenges arise, how to recognise stress before it becomes a problem and how to assist others when they need it most.

Through a mix of engaging eLearning and hands-on rescue scenarios, you’ll gain the knowledge and practical ability to manage situations both on the surface and underwater. By the end, you won’t just be a better diver, you’ll be the diver others look to for support, leadership and reassurance.

What You Can Do With This Certification

As a certified Rescue Diver, you’ll be recognised for your ability to handle challenging situations, support fellow divers and prevent accidents before they happen. This certification is a gateway to professional-level training such as the PADI Divemaster Course and is highly respected throughout the global diving community.

You’ll gain the skills to:

Prerequisites

• Certified Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent) Current
• EFR (Emergency First Response) or First Aid certification within the last 24 months.
• Minimum age: 12 years Physically fit and in good health to dive
• If you do not have a valid EFR or First Aid certification, we can include the Emergency First Response Course as an optional add-on.

What It Entails

You’ll begin your course through PADI eLearning, where you’ll learn how to identify, assess and respond to potential diving emergencies.

The eLearning component allows you to study at your own pace, from anywhere, before moving on to your practical rescue scenarios.

Practical sessions take place in a controlled environment such as Bass Lake Adventures or Miracle Waters, where you’ll apply your new knowledge under expert guidance.

Here, you’ll practice:

• Self-rescue and diver stress management
• Assisting panicked divers
• Surfacing an unresponsive diver
• Emergency exits and equipment management
• Search patterns and in-water rescue breathing

This is an exciting, hands-on course that will challenge you physically and mentally, but by the end, you’ll emerge a stronger, safer and more capable diver.
