Description

A direct reading compass is simple to use, and a flush mount keeps it tidy on a console or dash. The Ritchie Explorer has a 70 mm easy to read direct reading dial and is easy to install in a 95 mm mounting hole. Internal green night illumination keeps the card readable after dark, and built-in compensators make it easy to adjust for deviation. The dial uses a scientifically matched sapphire jewel and hardened steel pivot movement, with powerful DirectiveForce magnets for a fast heading lock-on. A movable sun shield reduces glare, and the high temperature composite construction extends the operating range in hot or cold conditions. The compass is 100% repairable, so it can be serviced and kept in use for years rather than replaced.
