Rock Hopper 3mm

Description

Most low-cut water shoes flood and fill with grit. A smoothskin ankle seal is what stops that here, closing against the ankle and limiting the water moving through, and it is what makes a 3mm low-cut shoe usable for actual diving. Underneath sits an ergonomic footbed with a natural rubber outsole over it, which holds on wet rock and stays comfortable across a long walk down to the water. Where a fin strap crosses the foot the heel is reinforced and the bridge carries a durable lining, so the strap does not wear through. At 3mm it feels like a shoe rather than a boot, and one piece of footwear then covers the walk in, the dive and the walk out, which removes the swap between reef shoes and dive boots entirely for shore snorkelling, rock pooling and warm-water diving. Eleven UK sizes run 4 to 14, black throughout, a wider run than either full-height boot. This is not a cold-water boot. It suits a warm-water shore diver or snorkeller.
