Fixed Tank Handle

Description

Cylinders are carried by the handwheel far more often than they should be, and a bent valve spindle or a dropped cylinder on a slipway is the usual result. This San-O-Sub handle gives the hand somewhere better to go. It clamps around the neck below the valve on two stainless bolts and stays there, presenting a rigid, finger-moulded grip that sits the weight of a full steel cylinder across the palm rather than on two fingertips. Loading a bakkie at the fill station, carrying cylinders down a jetty to the boat, and moving a rack of rental cylinders around a dive centre are all easier, and safer, with a handle that does not flex. Because it is fixed, it stands proud of the neck; the folding version lies flat where space in a rack is tight. It is a carrying handle for use at the surface only and is not a rigging point for hoisting. It suits a diver or centre that moves cylinders by hand every week.
