Valve Insert DIN to Yoke (5/8)

Description

A DIN/K cylinder valve is two valves in one, and the small threaded insert is what switches between them. Screwed into the outlet, it turns the DIN port into a seat for a yoke regulator; taken out, the full DIN thread is back for a screw-in first stage. San-O-Sub supply this 5/8 connection as the spare for their own DIN/K valves. Inserts go missing more often than they fail. One is left in a kit bag after a DIN dive, another is dropped on the deck while the rack is converted for a yoke group, and a third arrives with a chewed o-ring face after being turned with a screwdriver rather than the correct hex key. A spare on the shelf keeps a cylinder in service while the lost one is found. Check the o-ring on the face before fitting, and tighten it only by hand tool, not by a regulator. It suits a dive centre or owner running San-O-Sub DIN/K valves.
