Description

Cold hands end dives early, long before the rest of the body complains, and once fingers go numb even a simple clip becomes hard work. Scubatech's 5 mm neoprene gloves are the everyday answer for cooler water. The neoprene is lined with jersey, which makes them easier to pull on over damp hands, and the palm is reinforced and coated with anti-slip rubber for grip on shot lines, boat ladders and wet kit. A wide elastic strap with Velcro closes the wrist so less cold water flushes through. They fit a winter shore dive, a deep descent at an inland quarry in July, and a Cape boat dive on a day of cold upwelling. Sizing is by palm circumference, so a tape measure settles it. It suits a diver who needs warm, hard-wearing gloves at a sensible price.
