Description

Swap the open heel pockets out before a Sodwana trip and the boots stay at home, which is a real saving in a bag going into a hold. That is what this converts a Seawing Supernova or S-TEK fin to do: full foot, for warm water where no boot is worn. The pocket is moulded in premium Monprene and profiled against a bare foot rather than a boot, with a heel-retention cup that stops the foot sliding, which against bare skin is what prevents the rub that becomes a blister by the third dive, and a slightly wider toe box. It mounts through the Socket-Lock Connecting System shared across the Modular Fin System, coming apart and reassembling by hand with the MFS Multi-Tool. Five sizes run XS to XL in black and white. Order on the length of the bare foot, which usually means one size below a booted fitting. Cold water and rocky shore entries still call for the open heel pocket. It suits a Modular Fin System owner heading somewhere warm.
