Apeks Tech Shorts are worn over a wetsuit or drysuit and carry the small items a diver wants within reach: a spool, a light, a slate, cutting tools.
Pockets on a suit are better than pockets on a rig for anything that needs to be reached while the hands are busy. A thigh pocket can be opened one-handed without letting go of a line, which a bag clipped to a D-ring cannot.
Shorts only. Pocket contents not included, obviously, but worth loading deliberately rather than by habit; anything carried is drag, and anything that falls out is litter.
