Proterm 7+7mm Wetsuit Set

Description

Cold-water divers who stay wet all winter need neoprene that stacks, and the Proterm 7+7 set is the thickest combination in Tecline's Proterm range. It combines the 7 mm one-piece overall with the 7 mm hooded shorty vest, giving 14 mm of plush-lined neoprene over the chest and back once both are on. For a long technical dive in a deep freshwater site, with a slow ascent and a string of stops, that doubled core keeps the diver comfortable for longer than a single suit could. For a shorter dive, or a milder month, the overall is used alone, with double seals at the wrists and ankles and a zip-adjustable collar. Kevlar patches on the shoulders and knees protect the neoprene from rock, wreck metal and cylinder bands, and the YKK zips sit in protective sheaths. A drysuit remains the choice for the coldest water; this set is the wetsuit alternative. It suits a diver committed to cold-water wetsuit diving who wants maximum layering in one purchase.
