Fourth Element Thermocline Hood

Description

Neoprene hoods grip wet hair and drag at the ears. This one pulls over without a fight, which is its most useful property and the reason divers who find neoprene claustrophobic, or who react to it against the skin, end up here. It is cut from the same bonded laminate as the rest of the Thermocline range, made with ECONYL recycled nylon, and that fabric is neutrally buoyant, so unlike neoprene it needs no extra lead to offset it and does not compress with depth. It dries quickly between dives and goes through a washing machine, which counts for something worn against the face. It also works as a liner under a neoprene hood in colder water, adding a layer without adding stiffness at the neck. Sizing spans X Small through 2X Large, black throughout. The version with a skirt tucks into a wetsuit neck for better sealing at the shoulders. It suits a diver who dislikes neoprene against the face.
