Tovatec Fusion 1550 Dive Light

Description

Most divers carry a backup torch that never earns its place, and the Tovatec Fusion 1550 is sized to fit a BCD pocket while putting out enough light to lead a dive. It produces 1500 lumens through a lens that adjusts from a 12 degree spot to a 100 degree flood, with 50 and 30 per cent settings and an emergency strobe. On a reef dive it can stay pocketed as the backup, then come out to look into a crevice or under a ledge. On a night dive it is bright enough to serve as the primary light. Fitted to a camera tray arm with an adapter and set to its widest beam, it doubles as a video light. The 18650 lithium-ion battery runs for about an hour, and three AAA alkaline batteries in the supplied cradle give about 1.5 hours when there is nowhere to charge. It is rated to 100 m. It suits a diver who wants a compact backup that can step up to primary or video duty.
