Description

A wreck interior calls for a tight beam and a reef video calls for a wide one, and the Tovatec Fusion 2200 covers both with a lens that slides from a 12 degree spot to a 100 degree flood. Output reaches 2000 lumens, with 50 and 30 per cent settings to stretch the battery on a longer dive and an emergency strobe for signalling. On a night dive it works as a primary torch, cutting a clear path through the dark. Attached to a camera tray arm and opened to its widest angle, it becomes a video light for a compact camera or action camera on a shallow reef. On a dive trip with unreliable charging, the supplied battery cradle adapter lets it run on AA alkaline batteries once the rechargeable 26650 lithium-ion battery runs down. The light meets ANSI FL1 standards. It suits a recreational diver who wants one torch for night dives, wreck swim-throughs and occasional filming.
