Description

Open water swimmers are hard to see from a boat, which is the single largest risk in the sport and the one a plain black suit makes worse. The Triton puts a fluorescent insert on the forearms, orange on the women's version and green on the men's, positioned exactly where an arm rises out of the water on every stroke, so a swimmer is sighted immediately rather than after a search. The neoprene is 1.5 mm Ultraskin, thin enough to swim in properly rather than to float in, which is what distinguishes a swimming suit from a diving one. Practical details follow: a key pocket, so a car key does not have to be hidden on a beach, and a label for a name. It suits an open water swimmer who wants to be seen from a boat.
