Description

Deck space on a boat is finite, so a smock that stuffs into the top of a bag beats a coat that demands one of its own. The warmth comes from a grid-effect fleece lining rather than from wadding, which is how it stays warm without becoming an insulated jacket. Outside, a durable water-resistant ripstop sheds rain and stops wind, which on an exposed coastal site matters more than any insulation figure. A half zip at the chest handles entry with a fixed hood above it, and a kangaroo-style handwarmer pocket runs across the front. One garment then covers wind, drizzle and a chilly surface interval without committing to a full waterproof shell. Sizing spans 2X Small through 2X Large in black. For heavier weather the Atlantic three-in-one coat is the full waterproof option, and the Storm Poncho or Tidal Robe are the purpose-built changing layers. It suits a woman on an exposed coastal site.
