America Snorkel

Description

A snorkel that sticks out from the head is a lever, and on a duck dive the water pulls at it and drags the mask with it. The America is shaped against that: shorter tubing with minimal curves, so it holds its position around the head rather than fighting to leave it. The bore is large, which is what keeps surface breathing easy between descents when a freediver is recovering and needs air without effort. The mouthpiece is soft silicone on a multi-positional swivel, so it can be turned to any angle and left there, which matters over the long stretches of face-down time that breath-hold work involves. There is no dry valve and no purge, which keeps it simple and free-flooding, exactly what a freediver wants. It suits a freediver or spearfisher who spends long periods on the surface between dives.
