Description

Burn time is what decides whether one torch covers a dive day or two are needed, and 2100 lumens usually costs it. The Astra 2100 gets four to eight hours depending on mode from a 5000 mAh rechargeable lithium battery, which is a genuinely long working life at that output, and recharges fully in two hours through a magnetic connector built to shrug off sand and salt rather than corrode like a socket. The LED is a CREE XHP50, chosen to bring underwater colour back as well as to light the dark, and three modes cover 100 percent, 50 percent and strobe. The body is aluminium alloy at 440 grams, IPX8 certified to 100 metres and rated to a one metre drop. That answers a night dive, a wreck penetration and a full day of diving on one charge. It suits a diver who wants high output without carrying a spare torch.
