Ultra-Bright LED Diving Torch

Description

Red is gone by ten metres in most water, and everything below that is a study in blue until a light is put on it. This compact torch brings the colour back as far as the beam reaches, and lights the places a dive plan tends to lead: an overhang, a wreck interior, an entry made before sunrise. The body is anodised aluminium because metal carries heat away from the emitter, and an LED kept cool holds its output instead of dimming as the dive goes on. A stainless bezel protects the lens end, which is the part that takes the knocks, and the adjustable lanyard locks tight over a glove. Yellow is a working choice rather than a styling one, since a black torch put down on a boat deck is a lost torch. It suits a night dive, a wreck, or the camping trips a torch ends up on between seasons.
