ERGO NEOPRENE SOCKS 3MM

The Aqua Lung Ergo is a 3 mm neoprene sock cut high on the ankle and shaped as a left and a right rather than as a symmetrical tube. That single decision removes the loose material that bunches under the arch of a generic sock and turns into a blister an hour into a shore dive.

The seams are glued and blind-stitched, which keeps water moving through the sock to a trickle and lays the seam flat against the skin instead of raising a ridge. A silicone print across the sole grips a wet deck or a slipway when the sock is worn without a fin, and it grips the inside of a fin foot pocket when it is. Three millimetres is the thickness that adds warmth in Cape water without making a fin pocket a size too tight.

The result is a sock that stops a full-foot fin from taking skin off the heel and adds a usable layer of warmth on a long dive.

Supplied in black and blue, in extra small through extra large. The Superzip and Superlow boots are the alternative where a hard sole is wanted for walking in over rock. Socks are worn inside a fin or a boot and are not a substitute for either.
