The SCUBAPRO Mask Box in clear is the hard case a mask ships in, sold separately as a replacement. A mask left loose in a kit bag is a mask with a scratched lens and a creased skirt, and a creased skirt is the usual cause of a leak that no amount of strap tension fixes.
The clear shell lets the mask inside be identified without opening the box, which is worth having when several are stacked in a bag. It holds the mask in shape rather than only protecting it from impact.
