Description

Aerogel came out of spacecraft and cryogenic storage before it reached diving, and this was the first undersuit to use it. ARGON aerogel sits inside a compression-resistant matrix so the loft survives depth rather than crushing flat, which is what allows serious warmth from a thinner, less buoyant garment: less lead on the belt and less gas shifted around the suit on descent, so trim settles sooner. The outer face is a wind-resistant, water-repellent stretch fabric of 83 percent polyester, 13 percent polyurethane and 4 percent elastane, over an inner of 68 percent polyester against 32 percent recycled S.Cafe polyester, with panel placement set by thermal imaging across successive prototypes. The offset chest zip carries baffles behind it so heat does not escape along the closure, and a zipped waist pocket gives access for a P-valve line. Thumb loops and foot stirrups stop it riding up during donning. It suits a cold-water drysuit diver wanting the warmest undersuit made.
