Description

The CB4000P is a wide-angle video head, one hundred and twenty degrees of even coverage, which is exactly the wrong beam for a macro still. A snoot inverts it: the output is funnelled into a small controlled circle so the subject is lit and the reef behind it goes black, which is the separation macro work depends on and the one thing editing cannot convincingly add later. This adapter is sized for the CB4000P front, clamping over the head, and the lit circle is set by working distance rather than by a control. Buying a snoot rather than a second light means one head covers both wide video and isolated macro stills across a single dive. Other snoots in the range fit the handheld torches and the larger CB heads. It suits a photographer running macro stills from a CB4000P.
