Description

Buoyancy control is decided by the last half kilogram far more often than the first four, and 500 grams is the unit that lets a diver work at that resolution. Anyone close to correct at the end of a weight check is adjusting in halves, not whole kilos. These are lead slugs under a plastic coating, moulded to follow the curve of the body rather than sit as a flat block, and that profile is what lets them slide in and out of a holster without catching, which matters on a belt that has to be ditched in one movement. The coating keeps bare lead off hands, kit bags and car boots. A single slug can be moved between belt and pockets to correct trim without re-planning the rig. They need a carrier: either the Bright Weight Belt, which locks them without retainers, or the Clip On Weight Straps. It suits a diver tuning weighting in half-kilogram steps.
