Description

Pointing something out underwater usually means waving a whole torch about, which is imprecise and, on a night dive, blinding for whoever is being signalled. The green spot solves that. A 520 nanometre beam lands as a small, sharply defined mark exactly on the subject, in the colour the human eye resolves best in water, so a nudibranch the size of a fingernail can be handed to a buddy without a word. Around it sits a proper narrow-beam torch: 1300 lumens at level IV down to 130 at level I, ten degrees, 6500K cool white from an XML LED, running two hours at full output and twenty at the lowest. The housing is anodised aluminium alloy, tested to one hundred and fifty metres, at 213 grams with the battery. It suits a guide or instructor who has to show a buddy something small.
