Description
The parts of a dive light that fail are the parts that get handled: the LED, the optics, the switch and the sealed electronics behind them all live in the head. When one goes, replacing the head is the repair, at a fraction of the cost of a new torch and keeping the battery, charger and mount already owned in service. This is that assembly for the AL1800WP, supplied on its own in a plain box with none of those accessories. Colour temperature is 6500K cool white, the housing is anodised aluminium alloy and it is tested to one hundred metres. It comes in black and red, which is worth a thought on a boat where several identical lights hang on the same rail. The AL1800NP-II head covers the narrow beam. It suits a diver keeping an AL1800WP running.
