Cressi Aquawing Back Weight

Description

The Aquawing carries its integrated weight pockets on the back plate at the flanks, which works well until a heavier exposure suit or a steel cylinder shifts the balance and more lead is needed further back. This 2.5 kg bar bolts to the back plate itself, adding ballast at the lowest and most central point on the rig rather than at the hips, which is where it does most good for trim. Moving weight off the waist also lightens what has to be ditched in an emergency, and it takes 2.5 kg out of a weight belt that was becoming uncomfortable on the surface. It is a metal bar sized specifically for the Aquawing and Aquawing Plus back plate and is sold as an accessory rather than supplied with the jacket. That answers a drysuit dive, a steel cylinder and a diver who simply needs more lead than the pockets take. It suits an Aquawing owner adjusting trim rather than total weight.
