Description

Reloading is where a second shot is lost, because a mechanical spear retainer has to be engaged before the gun can be tensioned. The Cherokee Fast removes that step entirely: the head takes a double elastic and holds the spear with two magnets mounted in a watertight chamber, so the shaft is held the moment it is placed. That is the whole argument for the gun, a reset as fast as the diver can move, with none of the fiddling a conventional restraint demands. The rest is built to match. The frame is anticorodal with an integrated spear guide, the grip is glass fibre reinforced engineering plastic with a high or low soft sternal support, and the release mechanism is composite with trigger, release tooth and a lateral line release formed from the base. A shock absorber silences the shot, the side safety is reversible for either hand, and the reel is reinforced with a steel pin buckle. Three lengths: 90, 100 and 110 cm. It suits a spearfisher who wants the fastest possible reload.
